Method to Use Device Encryption on Window 11:
1. Enable Hard Drive Encryption:
The user can encrypt the disk on Windows 11 device just by using the BitLocker tool from Control Panel. It will help the users to encrypt their data and can accessible by those who will input the required password.
First, you should tap on the Search icon which is on your Taskbar. After this, you should write BitLocker in the search box which opens up on your screen and then hit on the app from the results. Now, you should choose Turn on BitLocker. Here, you will be asked to choose a method to unlock your drive at startup. The user can use the password method or they can also use a USB key. At this point, you should enter the password and then re-enter it and then hit on Next option.
After this, you should save the key in your Microsoft account, on a file, on a USB stick or you can just print it. Then, you should select whether you wish to encrypt the whole drive or only the used part. Just make your selection and then tap on Next button. Here, you should select the encryption mode which you wish to use. In case, you are using Windows 11, you can use the first option and for fixed drives, the user can choose the second one. 2. If your PC is not TPM 2.0 compatible, Then Encrypt your drive:
For this, the user should tap on Windows key + R altogether to start Run box. Then, you should type gpedit.msc in the box and then tap on Enter or OK button. Here in the Group Policy Editor, you should visit to the path:

At this point, you should double tap on the Require additional authentication at startup key just to open it. Now, you should check the Enabled option which is on the top and then check the box of Allow BitLocker without compatible TPM (requires a password or a startup key on a USB flash drive) and tap on OK button. At last, you should enable BitLocker encryption.
3. Turn off Drive Encryption:
To disable Drive Encryption, you should tap on the Search icon from the Taskbar and then write bitlocker and choose the app from results. Now, you should tap on Turn off BitLocker. Here, you should confirm it just by clicking again on Turn off BitLocker. At last, you should wait till BitLocker decrypts your drive before you shut down or restart your PC.
